Clean hotel with very-very nice staff and favourable location just off restaurants / fast food places, all the struggles, and restaurants within walking distance. Easy check-in and fantastic customer service. Easy check out. Simply nothing too much trouble, such great stay;)))

Nice staff. Big room.
Flew in day before from California. Needed to sleep 630 am the alarm, set by someone else, went off. 725am fire alarm went off and I had to wait outside while fire trucks zoomed up. 830am in bathroom when cleaning staff tried to get in to clean. Not restful sleep.

I loved the quietness of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, the interior beauty in the lobby, the ease to navigate to the lobby and to breakfast, the furniture in the room, the design of the bathroom; all in all a great place to stay!
Our view was of the back of the sign on the building, which I thought was a little strange.

enjoyable weekend strolls near parks and attractions
The grounds were well maintained , made my walks around the area quite pleasant, and I especially appreciated that the front desk staff were terrific, always ready to help with local recommendations.

Easy access from I-84, a couple of miles from Danbury itself. Hotel set back from the very busy Newtown Road so traffic noise is minimal. All staff courteous and friendly. Big room very clean indeed, bed large and comfortable, toiletries of good standard, effective shower and tub as well. Breakfast good, with hot dishes as well as cold, decent orange juice and lovely pastries. Breakfast and free 24/7 lobby coffee both drinkable for a European (if you choose the 'robust' blend). :-) Didn't use the pool but was impressed by the pool area. Hotel sells a few snacks etc but no alcohol. Not a problem as there are several places to eat nearby and a big Walmart less than 5 minutes' walk away. Lots of guest parking in what feels like a very safe area.
The hotel air con was a little fierce for the external temperatures but other than that, nothing. I've stayed in another hotel very nearby and the Hampton Inn is well worth the little extra it costs for the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the standard of the breakfast and the ability to get to Walmart etc without having to risk one's life trying to cross Newtown Road! :-)

All people we talked to at Front Desk were great! Very helpful and polite! Breakfast was awesome on the Saturday morning we were there. Room was spotless and hotel on whole was really nice.
The location was good right off the highway, but the entrance off the road is awkward being located behind Friendys.

The bed was amazing, and very quiet place. I got to rest well and easy.
There was a funky smell on the wall where bed head rest is.

staff was friendly and facility appeared clean. I have stayed in the Danbury area several times. It was my first stay at this Hampton and the value for the money was good when compared to others in the area.

The nearby hiking trails were perfect for exploring, and we loved soaking in the hot tub afterward. The newly renovated lobby felt inviting, and the breakfast was surprisingly good-scrambled eggs and fresh fruit were nice touches! This hotel is a solid pick for a comfy stay.
The sheets had a scratchy feel, a bit off-putting for a good night's sleep.

Breakfast
At check-in the staff couldn't find my reservation and insisted that I call Booked.net (who never answered my call) to get a Hampton Inn reservation number, I was on hold for at least 10 minutes with Booked.net and meanwhile a new check-in clerk showed up and found my reservation. I was able to hang up. Not a good experience with either the hotel or Booked.net after a 10 hour drive. No telling how long I would have been on hold.
